In ten years as a Function Coordinator at Casa Loma in Toronto, I have been responsible for hundreds of weddings and other special events.  From the initial site tour to the rehearsal, the ceremony, and throughout the reception, I have worked with couples to ensure their wedding day was all they hoped it would be.  Taking care of all the little details, liaising with their vendors, and dealing with problems as they arose, so that the Bride and Groom could enjoy their wedding day.  I have also held the positions of Banquet Manager at the Ancaster Old Mill, overseeing up to 5 weddings simultaneously; and Senior Event Coordinator at an off-site catering company in Toronto, looking after all planning and details for social events of 10- 250 guests, in venues as varied as tents, boats, museums, heritage buildings and backyards.

    My creativity and passion for the individual elements of weddings, particularly the aesthetic and thematic, has led me down this path, and I love meeting new people, and hearing their stories.  I look forward to working with you to make your wedding day seamless, distinctive, and memorable.

A note on Certification:

     Many new entrants into the wedding planning business are now advertising themselves as certified. This certification is not issued by an industry guild or association, but from a for-profit business.  Aspiring planners can take a 2 day course covering the basics of wedding planning and achieve the WPIC certification.  There is no experience requirement, no professional reference checks, or any followup professional development required.

     Engaging a planner that has successfully completed a two day seminar is no substitute for hiring a planner that has a dozen years of direct, hands-on experience.

    I do applaud the WPIC code of ethics, and follow similar guidelines in my own business.
